Blogtember- Lilly Agenda Review

I have decided to participate in Blogtember. It seems like something that would be pretty fun. I have no idea if I'll be able to actually do this, but I'm going to give it a try!

Today's prompt:

Review a book, place, or product.

This is actually a great prompt for me as I have many products, items and places to review! I make notes on a lot of things and try to fir them into a blog post. Because of this prompt, I can strike "review Lilly agenda" from my list of blog posts to write!
I love Lilly agenda as much as the next girl. In fact, I bought two agenda this year- a large agenda for my life (work, social and personal) and a pocket sized agenda for my blog.

The large agenda is great for me. I have so much going on in my life and there's enough space to fit everything in. I like how at the beginning of each month, there is a calendar for the month and then there is separate space in the following pages for each day.

In the monthly calendar, I'll put what is happening (ex "staff meeting") and then in the space for the that day, I'll write more details (ex "9-11:30, City Office"). I love having the monthly view and daily-ish views.

While I wasn't crazy about the prints this year, I do love how bright and colourful Lilly agenda are. Each month has it's own print and a quote or saying. I've actually taken to writing these quotes on a wipe board at work for my co-workers to look at all month.

Other agenda features:
  • pocket to keep things in
  • stickers (which aren't a big deal to me...I only use them to give to co-workers)
  • year at a glance- a page that has all the monthly calendars for 2014 and a page for 2015
  • dates to celebrate (each month is listed with space to fill in important dates such as birthdays)
  • Reasons for a Party in 2014- listing of all 2014 holidays
  • Lilly in the Stars- horoscopes. This is a new addition this year. While it's cute...this wasn't a selling feature for me
  • Section for notes. I actually use this ALL the time. I take my planner with me everywhere, so frequently pull it out during meetings
  • Reinforced tabs- this is a new feature this year. In the past, the tabs were paper. Mine never ripped, but I know they did rip for some people. Mine did get pretty bent and 'worn', so I'm happy to see this change
What don't like, is that last year there was an 'address book' section to keep track of contact info for people. This was removed this year and replaced with Party Planner notes (a single page that is just like the note pages, except it's right beside the reasons to party in 2014 list) and the horoscope. I'm not likely to use either of these sections and if they weren't included, I wouldn't miss them (and I still would've bought the planner). I would much rather have the address book section.

The way the agenda is laid out (monthly view followed by daily view), combined with the notes section, plus how 'fun' the agenda is (bright colour and prints) are the reasons why I buy Lilly agendas.

I had a Lilly agenda last year and got TONS of compliments on it. In fact, when I went to order my agenda this year, a co-worker ordered one too. Another co-worker was in the office the day they were delivered and she ended up ordering one as well.
