Paperless Post: Helping People Connect In Real Life

I recently had the opportunity to partner with Paperless Post, which was perfect timing because I needed to send some thank you cards! They generously gave me 1000 coins to tryout their service. While I had heard of Paperless Post before, I had never used this service. Paperless Post allows you to send mail- invitations, announcements, birthday cards- paperlessly. The service is super easy to use; you select your design, customize it, and hit send.

The designs are not your standard email template! They are beautiful and fun designs that look like cards and includes an electronic envelope. You can customize the colour of the envelope, liner, and postage stamp. So fun!

There are hundreds of design to choose from and Paperless Post has also partnered with fashion houses, lifestyle brands, and stationary designers to bring you even more selections. Some of their partners include Jonathan Adler, Vera Wang, Rifle Paper Co, HelloLucky, The New Yorker, and (my personal favourite) kate spade new york. Once you select your design, the fun begins! You have the opportunity to input a costume message, including the typeface and colour of the text. Next up is the envelope customization. This includes selecting the envelope colour, the design of the liner, adding a custom stamp and postmark. There are postmarks for different cities in the US, and there is also London UK and Toronto Canada. I was pleased to see there was one postmark for Canada, but it would be nice to see some cities besides Toronto. 

 

You can customize the envelope colour and liner. I love the combination of pink and glittery gold!

Another feature is the having reply cards sent with your mail. This will allow guests to RSVP to events, and include a message back to you.

Once you have you design complete, you add in email addresses for the recipients (you can send individual or you can do a mass mailing), and hit send. That's it- you're done! 

Something else that I love about Paperless Post is that they have a ton of stationary options available...you don't necessarily need to be sending a card or invitation to use this service.

In order to use Paperless Post, you will need to purchase coins. You can get 20 coins for $6. I was given 1000 coins by Paperless Post, which has a value of $90. Designs start at 2 coins and then customizations (such as envelope liners) are additional coins. 

 

To give you an idea, I 'spent' 25 coins to:

• Send the same card to three people
• Send the a different card to four additional people
• Send three different cards to three people
• I used all of the customized features, except for a customize stamp (this would have been a total of 5 additional coins)

I am a fan of Paperless Post! It was so easy to use, environmental friendly, and cost effective! I am planning a celebration for someone later this month, and fully plan on using Paperless Post for the invitations and to manage the RSVPs.

Maple Holistics Shampoo & Conditioner- Review

A couple of months ago, I was contacted by Maple Holistics and asked if I would review one of their products. I had the option of selecting what product I wanted to try- there were so many great options!! I mentioned to them what some of my hair concerns to them and asked them to pick a product that would benefit me. 

Maple Holistics ended up sending me two great products: Hydrate (shampoo) and Silk 18 (conditioner). 

After using both products for a month...well, my hair has never been more grateful!!

Let's start with the shampoo. Hydrate is a moisture shampoo for dry hair and flaky scalp. How many times have I said that my skin is incredible dry and always in need of more moisture? This shampoo actually provided some relief to my dry scalp. Although it didn't totally solve my dry skin/scalp issue, it definitely made a difference. 

Something also to note; this product claims to be 100% safe for coloured hair. I started using this shampoo around the time I had my hair coloured. I'm happy to report that the shampoo didn't fade the colour...yay for that!!

The conditioner, Silk 18, was another moisturizing product. I generally don't use conditioner in my hair, for the simple fact that I haven't found one that makes a difference and/or doesn't leave my hair feeling weighed down and/or causes more problems than help. 

This product did leave my hair looking healthy, decreased the frizz (that whole need of hydration thing), and left my hair feeling soft and silky. I am so happy to have found a conditioner that actually does something positive for my hair!!

As a bonus, both products smelling amazing!! People even commented on how nice my hair smelled. They have products for both men and women, and carry a variety of products to address hair, skin, and bath and body needs. Lots of options!!

So many people are turning to natural or holistic products. Some of them work great, some work ok, and some don't work. Maple Holistics is that natural company that does work- or at least the two products I tried worked.

Firmoo Computer Glasses

I am incredibly lucky to have decent eyesight. In fact, when I went for my driver's test, the lady kept making the letters smaller and smaller after I passed the eye exam just to see how good my eyesight really was- she was impressed. I think my good eyesight is because I ate so many carrots as a kid.

About a month ago, I was contact by Firmoo- an online eyeglasses store- asking if I would do a review for them. I had heard of them before, and knowing that I don't wear eyeglasses, I wasn't sure that there would be an opportunity to work with them. Before replying to their email, I poked around their website to see what they offered. 

I was surprised to see that besides prescription eyeglasses, they also offered sunglasses, fashion (non-prescription) glasses, reading glasses and computer glasses. While I was tempted to try a pair of Fashion Glasses (I've owned a pair for years), I decided to try Computer Glasses.

Before checking out Firmoo, I had never even heard of Computer Glasses! What are computer glasses? They are glasses that alleviate symptoms of Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS) by enhancing vision, reduce glares and protect against radiation from computer screens. As someone who spends all day in front of a computer for work, and all night in front of a computer as a hobby (hi blog, hi social media), I thought that computer glasses would be a good choice.

And choice I had! Colour, size, shape and frame...so many options!! I ended up going with these:

Red is my favourite colour, which was ultimately the deciding factor.

The verdict? I like them! I have no way of really knowing if they are doing anything to protect my eyes, without seeing an eye doctor for before/after exams. But I have noticed that my eyes don't feel strained or tired after looking at a computer screen all day. Since the lenses are not prescription, I was able to wear the glasses all day, right away...nothing for my eyes to adjust too. 

Don't even get me started on the compliments!! I've had so many people tell me that they love the glasses; the colour is great and they are very fashionable (other people's words...which I don't disagree with).

The glasses also came with a case (pictured...it's a map, how cute is that?!?!?), a bag, screwdriver and cloth. Firmoo also has an option to upload a photo of yourself so you can see how different frames will look on you.

I love these glasses so much, I wear them all the time- even if I'm not in a front of a computer.

Products I Regret Buying

Happy Friday!!! I have had such a busy work week; 6 meetings, 2 webinars and 1 event that I ran. I'm happy that the weekend is here...my 4 day weekend! I took Monday off and Tuesday is Canada Day, so I'm off. My weekend will be spent at my families second home and the beach, with the exception of Sunday where I will be celebrating my great-grandmother's birthday! I haven't seen her in months, so I'm looking forward to seeing her and spending time with my cousins. 

Sleep is something that has eluded me the past few weeks and the fact that I spent a good chunk of late night last night watching Anna In Wonderland's youtube chanel probably didn't help my 'I can't fall asleep' situation. This girl is flippin adorable and hilarious and my youtube crush.

Nailed It: imPress Press On Nails

As an event planner, fundraiser, working professional and political daughter, it's relatively important that I look "presentable" at most times. But my life is so hectic, chaotic, time consuming...busy! There just aren't enough hours in a day for me to get everything done, never mind of time to do small things, like get my nails done. 

Manicured nails are such a simple way to look like you've got it together. Be honest, we glance at each others nails and judge. Like I said, like is so busy, I rarely have the extra time to get my nails done. Thank goodness for imPress Press On Nails!! 

Press on nails were something that I thought were tacky and something I would never try...not just because of the tact factor, but also because I was terrified of damaging my nails. Everything negative I thought about press on nails, imPress Press On Manicure proved wrong.

These nails were not only easy to apply- pull of the tab and press them on- they also looked natural. Friends, colleagues and strangers, were all surprised to find out that they were press on nails. I got so many compliments!

They were also easy to take off and did not damage my nails at all. The only downside was that they last 3-4 days...it would be great if they lasted longer. 

The nails also come in a variety of colours and designs. Even though I like designs, like the black lace ones, I sometimes like to keep it basic with a solid colour. Either way, you get high shine and nails that look professionally done.

Something that I am looking to add to my diamond collection (hint, hint) are eternity bands.These are perfect for weddings, anniversaries, special occasions or just because. There are so many options when it comes to eternity bands- single row or multiple rows of diamonds, solid diamond band to different designs, only diamonds to a mix of diamonds and gemstones...there are so many options! Eternity bands, I think, are a great, classic and subtle statement piece.

Beautiful, Unique...GiPSY Dharma

I think that a lot of people will agree that fashion is art and designers are artists. Fashion is so beautiful and there is a lot of talent in designing pieces; especially pieces that are truly unique and one of a kind. 

I was recently introduced to GiPSY Dharma and was instantly impressed with how beautiful and original the leather boots and clothing were. Seriously, look at how gorgeous everything is:

After getting over the pure artistry and craftsmanship, my next thought was how comfortable these boots look! The leather looks really soft and supple and the soles are flexible. From natural to bold colours, and flip flops to over the knee high boots, you are sure to find the ideal pair for you.  And those skirts? Perfect for a night out or a nice spring/summer day!

There are so many designs and products to pick from, it's hard to pick one favourite from the catalog! But if I HAD to pick a favourite, I would go with these two:

Red is my favourite colour and I love the shade of red used for the boots. I also like the fact that even though these are knee high boots, you can lace them so that they are lower then the knee, fold over the top, etc...really style them to suit your taste.

As for the skirt...I like the black and red combination! The red isn't as vivid as the boots and the black isn't super black...I like the contrast-shade- of the colours. I also like the cut of the skirt. The asymmetrical cut is just beautiful. 

Something that I really like, is that the website not only has sizing information and advice on how to order the right size, but also information on how to measure your foot, which can be found under FAQ and Sizing.

I can't imagine wearing something from GiPSY Dharma and not feeling beautiful. In fact, just thinking about wearing one of their skirts or a pair of their boots makes me feel beautiful.

Honey Badger Would Rent...and RentBack

I am very active with my alma mater, Brock University. There are a ton of reasons why I decided to be involved as an alumni, one of the main reasons is because I loved my time at Brock and am a Badger (our mascot) for life.

Big Bold NYC

Confession: I am not one of those girls who LOVES makeup. Yes, I like makeup and I like trying different products and brands but I do not experiment with makeup. I don't even wear makeup on a daily basis.

When it comes to makeup, lip products (stick, gloss, balm, etc) are my product of choice. I have also been told by numerous people that if nothing else, I should at least wear mascara on a daily basis because I have such nice (natural) lashes. 

So, when I received my Maple VoxBox from Influenster, and saw it contained mascara and a plumping lip gloss from NYC Colour, I was pretty happy.

Let's start with the lip gloss...I really wanted to love this product. The colour was Big City Blush, which I loved. It's a very subtle colour and perfect for me. I also thought that it had a nice glossy finish but the gloss is a bit 'sticky'. It's not super sticky, but sticker than what I normally use/like.

This product is a lip plumper and I don't feel it plumped my lips. I didn't notice a different and my family/friends didn't either. My lips did become plumper, it wasn't enough for people to notice. Like other lip plumpers, it does aggravate your lips, which is what causes your lips to plump. I have used lip plumpers before so I was expecting the burning feeling. However, after applying this product, my lips burned for at least 30 minutes. In my opinion, that is too long; especially since there was no noticeable plumping of my lips. And it was really uncomfortable.

From the before/after pictures above, you can see the gloss/colour but my lips are the same size.

My sister was also nice enough to try this product...her lips also burned for a long period of time and there was no noticeable plumping of her lips either.

Sadly, as much as I wanted to like this product, I can't. I don't think I will ever use this product again and I definitely do not recommend it.

I fared MUCH better with the mascara! The mascara was a curl mascara. I liked the shape of the wand, it was so easy to apply. There was no clumping, which is a HUGE bonus.

I applied one coat to my top lashes only and you can definitely see a difference.

I really loved this mascara...in fact, there wasn't anything I didn't love about it! I will be purchasing this in the future and I do recommend it!

My Skin Is In Love With Montagne Jeunesse Clay Spas

I have dry skin...like REALLY dry skin. Dryness is the only issue I have ever had with my skin (knock on wood...I've been lucky). I frequently splash water on my skin and just let my skin absorb the water. Combine the usual dryness with the fact that I'm in the middle of a Canadian winter...well, it's not pretty. 

When I had the opportunity to try the Glacial Clay Spa Masque by Montagne Jeunesse, I was interested in how my skin would react; this is a cleansing masque, which are usually pretty drying to my skin. 

As mentioned, this is a cleansing masque...but my in much need of hydration skin loved it; it was love at first contact! As soon as I put the masque on, I could immediately feel my skin soaking up the moisture and it felt heavenly! I left the masque on for 15 minutes (instructions say 10 to 15 minutes) and I did not want to take it off. The coolness from the Glacial Clay felt really amazing on my skin.

The masque contains "[a]nti-oxidant rich Red Grape and Arctic Cloudberry juices from the glacial heights of Scandinavia" and is actually a fabric masque infused with clay. 

 

It was a little messy taking it out of the package and the initial smell isn't ideal...it's not horrible but it could be better...but I liked the fact that to use this product, all you had to do was unfold the masque and put it on your skin. The masque was a bit big for my face, but I'd rather have it too big instead of too small. The masque was also easy to take off and the clay wasn't "caked" onto my skin, making it easy to wash off.

As previously mentioned, this is a cleansing masque. It did leave my skin feeling and looking clean, really soft and a nice, natural glow. 

I love, love, love this product! I highly recommend it and I hope that I will be able to (easily) find it in local stores so I can incorporate it into my regular beauty routine.

Broadway Nails imPRESS Press-on Manicure: The Experience

I never thought I would try press-on nails. To me, press-on nails always looked so fake, and dare I say, tacky. Plus, I had heard how the glue could damage your nails. So, no thanks.

When I had the opportunity to try imPress Press-On Nails by Broadway Nails, I was bit hesitant. 

I thought the packaging was cute and creative; it's shaped like a nail polish bottle. I liked how the nails came in a variety of sizes, so these nails should 'fit' everyone. I'm not sure how many nails were in the package, but I was able to get two sets of nails, with leftovers. 

There's a tab that you peel off the back of the nail, which reveals the glue, and then press them one; it was that easy, no messy or complicated application.

They say the nails last up to a week and I would say this is fairly accurate; I wore mine for 6 days before they came loose and I took them off. It was really easy to take them off too. Just loosen the edges, which wasn't difficult, and peel them off. Again no mess and not complicated. There was no damage to my nails either; you couldn't even tell that I had worn press-on nails for a week.

I got so many compliments on these nails! They looked really natural and everyone was surprised to hear that they were press-on nails! I was able to do everything I would normally do, including Christmas baking, without any real issues. 

One of the nails fell off while I was sleeping, but I think I just didn't press it on hard enough; I just took one of the leftover nails and put it on. Also, it's important to make sure that the nails are the right length for you. As you can see from the above picture, the nail on my pinky is pretty long. It kept getting hit/caught and eventually fell off after 3 or 4 days.

 As much as I love this product, I probably wouldn't use it to replace a weekly manicure, (just because I prefer my natural nails and length; easier to type/text), I can see myself using this product again and frequently. I would use them for a night out or anytime I want to have nice nails (ex important meeting with a client) but don't have time for a manicure. This is a product that I am going to make the point of keeping on hand (no pun intended) because you never know when you'll need pretty nails.

I highly recommend this product and will be using it in the future.

Happy Thursday! This week has gone quickly and I'm happy that the weekend is soooo close. First the first time in months, I have a weekend with no plans!! I'm really looking forward to it, even thought I have no idea what I'm going to do this weekend.

I'm Tiffany...but just call me Tif.  I blog over at Ramblings of a Southern Belle!  I LOVE fashion, photography, music, singing...so many things and I blog about whatever I want to...that is why I love my blog...I refuse to "conform" to a certain style of blogging...I'm being a rebel!  NO...just kidding...I just love knowing that if I feel fashionista one day...great...if I'm mushy the next...that is fine too!  

I am married to my high school sweetheart, coming up on 24 years the last day of March...but we've been together since 87.  I have an amazing son who just turned 24 and two sheltie furbabies.  I love my family, love to worship my Lord and am not a very "graceful person" I run into anything with a corner.  I am both a "girly girl" and a "tomboy" go figure huh.  I can get all dolled up for a night out or decked out in camo...with a little bling and sit in my deer stand for hours.  Hey...a girl's gotta have a little bling to drive the guys at the lease nuts when she brings in the biggest game!  

I am also a die hard ALABAMA FAN...me and my Momma got us a good rivalry going...it's fun!  So...now that I've literally rambled on...I do hope you will hop over and sit a spell with me on my blog!

Hi y'all!

My name is Becca. I blog over at Faith Love & Babies, my blog is about being an army wife, a new mama, random tidbits about my life and the things I love. I'm 21 and became an army wife when I married my high school sweetheart, KC. We got married in September of 2012 and a few months earlier, we became parents to a precious little boy, named Wyatt. We also have two fur-kids; Cinnamon and Lucy.  

Meet KC, he's a solider in The United States Army, my very own personal mechanic, my best friend and just such a good man. He will make you laugh, I promise you that. He's goofy, quirky and has such a kind heart.

Meet Wyatt, he's eight months and he's the happiest baby I've ever met. He's literally always happy, unless he's hungry or fighting sleep, because then he's a bear. Meet the girls; Cinnamon & Lucy. Back in 2010 KC & I rescued Cinnamon as a puppy, we believe she is a Lab/Beagle Mix. She's got a long body and short little legs. And as for Lucy or as we call her, Moose, she was in a litter of puppy's my brother-in-law's dog had, we got her in 2011. Moose is a Bull Mastiff/Boxer Mix. She does not like the snow but she loves to cuddle. 

As for me, I'm a simple girl. I love the color yellow, and anything pumpkin. Colorful paper clips at work, the occasional margarita and of course some football (who-dey!). I have a positive outlook on life, I believe that there is always something to be thankful for, I truly believe that "Faith Conquers Fear", that everything happens for a reason and that all things are possible.
