Make With Me- Warm Figs with Goat Cheese

I can't believe that November starts today- time is just flying by! I hope everyone had a safe and fun Halloween! Mine was kind of a bust. The work Halloween Social didn't happen as a morning meeting ran late by about 2 hours, leaving less than half an hour before an afternoon meeting started. On top of that, I had no kids come trick or treating.

Warm Figs with Goat Cheese
Ingredients:
  • 16 ripe figs
  • 4 ounces of goat cheese
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • Fresh cracked pepper

To Make:
  • Preheat oven to 350F
  • Cut figs into four slices that are still connected (so it looks like an open flower), making sure not to cut all the way through
  • Arrange figs, cut side up, on a cookie sheet
  • Spoon goat cheese into each fig
  • Lightly brush each fig with vinegar
  • Bake for about 8 minutes
  • Top with a twist of cracked pepper
  • Enjoy!

Notes:
  1. Black Mission figs are recommended for use in this recipe.
  2. The smaller the fig, the better.
  3. Figs are in season in the summer or fall, making this a great recipe for this time of year!
